Electric car sales watch 281 Volts and 67 Leafs sold in US during February

Neither Chevrolet nor Nissan have felt proud enough of their EV sales numbers to list them on their latest press releases, but our colleagues over at Autoblog Green have dug those numbers up anyhow. They make for dispiriting reading if youre an electric car well-wisher, as the Volts sales declined from Januarys tally of 321 to an even less impressive 281, while the Leaf closed February with only 67 US sales, down 20 on last month. Upon seeing their previous numbers, we postulated that both cars are suffering from constrained supply, which is likely still the case, but it feels ironic to us that electric vehicles, whose driving experience offers instant torque, are taking their sweet time to rev up their sales.

Jaguar XF Facelift caught testing in India

JLR is working on bringing the XF Facelift for India.They have already started testing the new XF here.Jaguar already unveiled the XF facelift in 2011 New york motor show.Jaguar has made some changes for the Looks of XF.Jaguar XF get a new sleek head lamp design.which now has Day time running LEDs in it.LEDs are designed like a J Shape.Jaguar has given slight redesign retouch for the front grill,bumpers and for the hood.Jaguar has given new triangular side vents in the bumper.On the Rear Jaguar XF get new Full LED real tail lamps.Rear bumper also changed.These are the changes Jaguar made for the 2012 XF.

2012 Jaguar XF entry level model in India gets new 2.2 L Turbo diesel engine.This diesel engine is borrowed from Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Free Lander 2.2 L 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine makes 190 BHP of power and 450 NM of torque.This engine is mated to new 8 speed automatic transmission for quick acceleration and fuel efficiency.0-100 in 8 seconds and top speed is 225 Kmph.Jaguar XF gives 18.51 kmpl.For enhancing Fuel efficiency Jaguar has added start – stop system.Jaguar is assembling XF in India.So we can expect a price tag of 40 Lakhs RS.With striking performance,excellent fuel efficiency and good pricing will give jaguar good numbers.We can expect Jaguar to launch the XF facelift soon in India.

2013 Honda CRV caught testing on India.We have already reported that the Honda CRV has arrived in India on August.Now the first spy pictures have hit the internet.Thanks to the Autocar India.Honda CRV was very famous for its futuristic design and interiors.But after the petrol price hike Honda CRV is selling very few.while the competitors have selling well.

Honda is testing the petrol powered CRV in India now.CRV uses 2.4 L IVTEC engine that is available in India.But these engine get some updates.Honda offers diesel variants for CRV in Europe.but these engines doesn’t work in India.Honda is developing new diesel engine for CRV in India.But it will take time Honda to launch the diesel CRV.Honda CEO has already said that Diesel engine model only in 2014.So we could expect the diesel CRV in 2014 or in 2015.New Honda CRV has two spec for US and Europe.In India we get the European Spec.Styling is more aggressive than ever.Inside also get lot of improvements.Quality and features has improved.We can expect high prices for CRV because its fully imported model.

Volkswagen Cooperation in China Is Premature Extension

The Wolfsburg want to extend with its Chinese partner FAW existing cooperation earlier than expected. The existing 21-year joint venture would in future focus on expanding its product portfolio.

The Volkswagen Group will extend its cooperation with the Chinese automaker First Automotive Works (FAW), much earlier than previously expected. Both sought to "prematurely" to agree on a continuation of the 2016 expiring contract for the joint venture in Changchun, northeast China, Volkswagen said Thursday in Beijing.

According to the news agency dpa is assumed that the new treaty to be signed in the coming year. In the joint venture since 1991, more than six million cars were built.
Chinas largest single market of VW

Planned for the future is, according to Volkswagen, "the product portfolio to expand and develop common new activities." This is what would VW CEO Martin Winterkorn and the President of the FAW Group, Xu Jianyi, at a board meeting of FAW-Volkswagen in Chinas Foshan agreed.

China is the world of the Volkswagen Groups largest market. Except with FAW in Northeast China, where in addition to VW and Audi models to be built in China, the Group cooperates with Shanghai Automotive Industry (SAIC).

Audi Tells Us it Has No Plans to Offer the New RS6 Avant in the U S

If you can afford it, the new Audi RS6 Avant is one of those cars that allows you to have a mid-life crisis without actually affecting the others around you, and by that, we mean you can get supercar-levels of performance with all the comfort amenities and more importantly, the space and practicality of a large family car.

Sadly, if you live in the States, this is one super wagon that you wont be able to park under your garage during this phase of your life.

In an email we received today from John Schilling, product communications manager for Audi North America, we were told that, the brand has "No plans on bringing the RS6 Avant here to the U.S.".

And for those of you wondering, yes, we did ask him if Audi had plans for a sedan version of the 190mph, 552hp RS6, but unfortunately, we did not receive an answer…
