A California company has combined a Corvette with a luxury speedboat and thrown in some jet ski to create a holy trinity of awesomeness it calls the WaterCar Python. For around $170,000, you can pick up a Python rolling chassis and install a General Motors LS series engine of your choosing — from a used LS1 to the same mind-bendingly powerful LS9 found in the Corvette ZR1. Choose that level of insanity and WaterCar estimates the engine and transaxle installation should run an additional $30 to $50K.
Once installed, the Python will make short work of your trip to the boat launch with an average 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds. Once you get to the yacht club, stun your high society friends by driving the Python straight into the water, pressing one button to retract the wheels and another to start the jet. You’ll be gliding on a bright blue highway in seconds. Far from a glorified Amphicar, this baby can do 60 mph on the water.
In addition to being one of the absolute coolest toys we’ve ever seen, we can imagine high-speed police chases in L.A. might get a bit more interesting if suspects choose a Python as their getaway car.
On land, the Python is a custom-built hot rod that looks like a cross between a Chevy Avalanche and a Corvette. Out on Lake Havasu, where you just know one of these will show up, it’s a 20 foot luxury boat appointed with a polished wood dashboard and a leather wraparound bench seat — just like the Chris Craft you keep at your house in the Hamptons. Sadly, air conditioning, an automatic transmission and a hardtop are not currently available.
We’re especially amused by the dual set of safety and regulatory guidelines that apply to an amphibious motor vehicle. Headlamps and turn signals are to be used on land but green and red nautical lights are for use on the water. Not only do owners of the Python need to register their vehicle as both a car with license plates and a boat with marine stickers, but special amphibious vehicle insurance must be purchased unless owners want to buy both a car and boat policy.
On paper, the Python appears to be twice as fast on the water than its closest competitor, the Gibbs Aquada. We wonder how long it will be before someone smashes Sir Richard Branson’s record of crossing the English Channel in an amphibious automobile that he set in his Aquada back in 2004.

A Jaipur Court had issued Arrest Warrants against Porsche Global CEO Matthias Mueller and other 8 board Members.The arrest warrant was issued on the basis of a criminal case filed by the Precision cars which was the sole importer of Porsche cars in India.The Court order was issued on November 5 2012.

Local and Central Bureau of Investigation approached Interpol for help.Because the persons involved in the Arrest Warrants were based in Germany and USA.Precision Cars filled cased against Porsche with many Charges.They are cheating,extortion, dishonestly inducing delivery of property, criminal breach of trust and criminal conspiracy.Porsche India didn’t comment on this matter.

All these disputes started when Porsche India appointed Volkswagen Group Sales India on April as its importer for all Porsche cars sold in India.While Precision Cars were Porsche Importer for 8 years.Precision cars have also filed various cars against Porsche on different places in India.

A spoke person of Precision car said to Hindustan Times that “We have always made bona fide efforts to sort out the issues with Porshce, but they have not given any support in resolving these issues.a spokesperson for Precision Cars India said. “We were left with no choice but to pursue the matter legally.”

Electric car sales watch 281 Volts and 67 Leafs sold in US during February

Neither Chevrolet nor Nissan have felt proud enough of their EV sales numbers to list them on their latest press releases, but our colleagues over at Autoblog Green have dug those numbers up anyhow. They make for dispiriting reading if youre an electric car well-wisher, as the Volts sales declined from Januarys tally of 321 to an even less impressive 281, while the Leaf closed February with only 67 US sales, down 20 on last month. Upon seeing their previous numbers, we postulated that both cars are suffering from constrained supply, which is likely still the case, but it feels ironic to us that electric vehicles, whose driving experience offers instant torque, are taking their sweet time to rev up their sales.

It will deliver around 300 HP, while the fuel economy will be improved by 20%, leaving behind the main reason why the RX8 needed to be discontinued. The engine will be mated to a new twin-clutch, two-pedal six-speed transmission with a twist that allows drivers to set the revs at which the clutches engage.

It is also rumored that the RX-9 will be offered with a Honda-style gas/electric hybrid system that will not only include a regenerative braking system to charge the batteries when coasting and decelerating, but also an engine stop/start system that will help improve the fuel economy. This rumor has already been confirmed by a Mazda insider who in a previous interview said : "We’re testing the rotary in conjunction with technologies including an electric turbocharger."

The RX-9 will be offered with 17- or 18-inch wheels and four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and stability/traction control.
The CompetitionCompared to the RX-8 who targeted models like the Volkswagen Scirocco, the new RX-9 will focus on competing with models like the Nissan 370Z. Do we smell a Japanese sports car war? We think so. But let’s not let them have all the fun, German sports cars like the Audi TT will also have reasons to fear the new RX-9.

If it werent for the Autoexpress logos, we would have sworn that this video was made by…Dacia as a publicity stunt to promote the sales launch of its new Sandero supermini, which will be the Romanian brands first model to arrive in UK showrooms in January.

With a starting price of £5,995 (equal to €7,400 / US$9,600 at todays exchange rates), the five-door Sandero will also be the cheapest new car money can buy in Britain.

The magazine parked an example of the Sandero at the Heart of Walton shopping centre in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, and covered up its logos before the host began asking by-passers which brand makes the car and how much it costs.

Something that was not noted in the video is that the Sandero priced just under £6,000 is the base Accent trim that comes with black bumpers and steel wheels, which means this one is one of the more expensive grade models.

On ride and handling Honda focused more on ride quality.Honda engineers tuned the suspension soft for ride quality.So this is not for all Honda enthusiasts.A good engine but not a good handling car.Also NVH levels on the Brio Amaze is poor.We can expect the production model to be better insulated.Honda will offer both petrol and diesel engine.Petrol engine will be the 1.2 L i-VTEC engine from Brio.We can expect more details to come out before the November 23rd.
