UK Magazine Masks Dacia Sandero and Asks the Public to Guess What it is and How Much it Costs

If it werent for the Autoexpress logos, we would have sworn that this video was made by…Dacia as a publicity stunt to promote the sales launch of its new Sandero supermini, which will be the Romanian brands first model to arrive in UK showrooms in January.

With a starting price of £5,995 (equal to €7,400 / US$9,600 at todays exchange rates), the five-door Sandero will also be the cheapest new car money can buy in Britain.

The magazine parked an example of the Sandero at the Heart of Walton shopping centre in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, and covered up its logos before the host began asking by-passers which brand makes the car and how much it costs.

Something that was not noted in the video is that the Sandero priced just under £6,000 is the base Accent trim that comes with black bumpers and steel wheels, which means this one is one of the more expensive grade models.

Audi Tells Us it Has No Plans to Offer the New RS6 Avant in the U S

If you can afford it, the new Audi RS6 Avant is one of those cars that allows you to have a mid-life crisis without actually affecting the others around you, and by that, we mean you can get supercar-levels of performance with all the comfort amenities and more importantly, the space and practicality of a large family car.

Sadly, if you live in the States, this is one super wagon that you wont be able to park under your garage during this phase of your life.

In an email we received today from John Schilling, product communications manager for Audi North America, we were told that, the brand has "No plans on bringing the RS6 Avant here to the U.S.".

And for those of you wondering, yes, we did ask him if Audi had plans for a sedan version of the 190mph, 552hp RS6, but unfortunately, we did not receive an answer…
